The screencap came from NickToon's Pop-Up Avatar special, where they were giving little factoids about the series while playing the Avatar episodes.

Yeah, that's right. ZUTARA WAS THE ORIGINAL CANON SHIP.....and then Mike and Bryan decided to change their minds.

If they stuck to their original vision for Avatar, ZUTARA WOULD PROBABLY BE CANON BY NOW.

*stabs Bryke with a pitchfork!*

I'm thoroughly confused! o_O ?!!

HOW COULD BRYKE HAVE SOMETHING AS BEAUTIFUL AND EPIC AS ZUTARA AND CHANGE IT TO KATAANG?!!!

My theory is that after The Waterbending Scroll episode, the fandom predicted that Zuko and Katara would get together.
Bryke didn't like us predicting their storyline, so they decided to change it.
Honestly!
If I were Bryke, and the fans predicted the end ship, I would just ease off the hints and try to make it more subtle, NOT DOWNRIGHT CHANGE IT!!!
Ugh...!!! >____< It certainly explains why the Finale and the romance in general seemed so out of place.
Wrong move, Bryke. Biggest mistake EVER. like trading diamonds for a pile of bull crap. >__<

Seriously! I will NEVER get over the fact that Bryke opted for the LAME!CREEPY!PEDO! ship that is Kataang over the EPIC WIN! that is ZUTARA. ~ <3

On a different note, I have to say that I love how Zuko's just kinda looking down at the factoid.

Zuko totally agrees and just like me, he curses Bryke for making such terrible decisions. LULZ. XD

For now, I'm just going to sit in a corner and spazzzzz all day long, because as much as I hate Bryke for being complete idiots, I can't help but be extremely happy.
